Cynthia Marchand will join the talented and dedicated Noyes staff as the Interim Noyes Elementary Principal. Ms. Marchand received her BS from Skidmore College in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Education from Wheelock College, and post-graduate studies at Boston College in Education Administration.

Ms. Marchand has worked in the field of education for more than 30 years, mostly in public schools. She began her career in education as a teacher in Newton covering grades 2 through 6 and served as a principal in Newton for more than 15 years. She worked for the Burlington Public Schools as the Assistant Superintendent and is currently finishing an interim principal position in Belmont.

Cindy is known in the educational community for serving in the role of Educational Consultant for Ribas Associates. In that role she teaches graduate courses to educators on differentiation, social-emotional learning, and mentoring, as well as on collegial supervision and evaluation, so she is well-versed in the work of elementary education.

This is Mrs. Moffat's 21st year at Peter Noyes. Kristin grew up in Brockton, Massachusetts, and graduated from Framingham State College with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and the University of Virginia with her Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.  Prior to Sudbury Mrs. Moffat taught 5th-grade for ten years, five in Richmond, Virginia, and five in Framingham.

 She is an avid Disney fan and loves lots of color!  She is passionate about student empowerment and lifelong learning.  Mrs. Moffat and her husband David have three children, Spencer who is an adult, Molly who is a college Sophmore, and Cole who is a Junior.  Mrs. Moffat's logo is: "If it's good for kids.......it's good."
